Every church and every Christian should have good literature available to give to friends and contacts.
Sound tracts are a resource for Christians and their churches to pass on the Good News of Jesus Christ to the contemporary world. The Tract’s aren’t merely “thought provokers” but condensed talks so the readers can really think about contemporary issues and through them engage with the claims of Christ.
Golfers have lots of opportunity to look at the world around them. Next time you’ve hit a nice drive down the middle take time to look at the trees that guard the fairway, or the blue sky above you. Christianity begins with the assertion that our world is designed by God.
But there is another man. Another Man of whom it would be very true to say “You’re the Man!”. If no one else cares for you, He surely does. And he cares for what you’ve done and thought and said.
It is a very unusual person who is happy with how they look and doesn’t want to be more beautiful than they are now. Vast sums of money are spent on face-lifts, liposuction, body piercing, tattoos, hair dye, make up, visit to the salon - and that’s just for men!
Why do we sometimes find things hard to believe? Many refuse to believe the evidence because “miracles like that don’t happen.”
Inconvenient? Possibly.
Reasonable to reject the evidence on that basis?
Clearly not.
Reasonable to investigate further? Yes!
Sport wields great power and influence and involves vast sums of money, energy and time. And of course there are great benefits to many: health and fitness, friendship and camaraderie, acquiring of technical skill and mental strength, entertainment and employment and so on.
Charles Spurgeon (“the prince of preachers”) said : “When preaching and private talk is not available, you need to have a tract ready…..Get good, striking tracts or none at all…. .a touching Gospel tract may be the seed of eternal life. Therefore do not go out without your tracts.”
